In celebration of Burien's 15th Birthday, 2008, the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, City Council Members, City Manager, Parks & Rec, Arts Commissioners, Teen Council members and a handful of excited kids ride atop the Birthday Cake Bus created by "Flight to Mars", Dane Johnson and Kathy Justin, down the length of 152nd.

The cake traveled past the first-ever construction crane ever present in Burien. A police escort cleared the way, ending at Highline High School.
