I chuckled over these shoes in an alleyway in downtown Seattle and loved the tones of red and pink, plus the one stone opposing the shoes.
So close to departure and my senses are keenly heightened. Light and scent and my surroundings are more vivid. I’m REALLY paying attention (even though I do as a matter of course). I’m paying attention because I know I’ll be leaving this place. What will I miss? The smell of the nearby salt water. The bird song that wakes me up in the morning. Canopies of trees in the neighborhoods are brilliant green and sparkle. What will I go without?
But for everything here that I step away from, there will be some new little gem, some discovery that hadn’t been in my life. Everything I let go of allows me to take hold of something else. Hmm. What will those things be?
