How about a northward trip through Portugal, starting in Lisbon and ending in Porto?
Twenty-five of us joined the Meany Arts, Culture, Food and Wine Tour 2025, in association with the University of Washington, Sept. 1-13, 2025. We toured castles and convents, museums and monuments, wineries and workshops. We feasted on local specialties, including plenty of the ever-present bacalhau salted cod.
I was brought to tears with Fado music, masterfully played. And we enjoyed recitals, stick dances and songs at the dinner table.
